Hello and welcome!
Our experience of the world is so often marked by failure and loss: of friendship or love, of artistic or other career aspirations. But I believe something meaningful can be made of our most disappointing moments of longing and grief—plus bonus points for anything funny—which is what I hope to bring to you.
Why subscribe?
From my own little corner, here in Queens, New York, I invite you to reflect on nature, the various relationships that fill our lives, and how the things we collect—and can’t let go of—express who we are.
All subscribers get:
• Weekly posts that have been described as “a hug when you need it most” and “like a hot cup of coffee for the soul.” These will include a variety of micro essays and flash fiction, exquisite mini-excerpts from contemporary novels and story collections you’ll want to add to your TBR pile, and snippets of association to songs running the gamut of genre and era.
• You’ll be the first to hear of publication news and upcoming events. And by way of thanks, you’ll receive an exclusive link to “Collecting,” a short essay about my early compulsions.
For $30—the equivalent of buying a hardcover book a year—paid subscribers also get:
• The chance to support independent writing and my work.
